As teachers, it is essential that we refine our ability to observe our students and be equipped to help each individual move to the next level in their practice. The dual art of reading bodies and doing hands-on adjustments is fundamental for teaching yoga. These skills enable us to help our students refine their practices in order to find the freedom that asana practice is all about. Starting the morning and afternoon sessions with a led practice to embody the work, we will move into the practice of hands-on and reading bodies.  Our focus will be on refining our skills to better help our students reach their potential.  In this partner-oriented workshop, we will focus on key poses that are most frequently practiced in classes, including variations, modifications, and when to use props and why.  We will cover how to teach beginners and how to deal with mixed levels of students in classes. This workshop is recommended for teachers who want to go deeper in their practice and understanding. Putting it all together, we will strengthen our ability to see clearly and to adjust our students safely—all with precision and compassion.

What to bring: Block, strap.  Blankets recommended.
Discussion, asana, hands-on partner work.
