Inhale. Exhale. You do it  24/7. The breath is the fuel upon which spirit travels while inhabiting the vehicle of your body. Have you thought about the quality of your breath? Does it drive you too fast? Too slow? Do you wait until your tank is empty before paying attention to your body’s dashboard alerts?

In this community class led by certified yoga therapist and Breathe Salt Rooms founder Ellen Patrick, you will learn the basic anatomy of breath and remove physical blockages to its free flow through a vinyasa practice. Fill your tank and create a smoother journey with fewer roadblocks. Come experience what it’s like to fully BREATHE YOUR BODY!

Ellen Patrick

Ellen Patrick, E-RYT 500 and certified Yoga Therapist, is also the founder of Breathe Salt Rooms. She began her yoga journey over 30 years ago when a back injury sidelined her aspiring Broadway dance career. For many years thereafter, she turned to yoga to keep her mind, body and spirit healthy, while navigating a career in the corporate world. Fed up with this unfulfilling life, she became a certified yoga teacher in 2000. Since then, Ellen has graduated from 3 different teacher training programs, and subsequently chose to pursue the field of Yoga Therapy. After 10 years of training and further studies with Gary Kraftsow, she became a certified Yoga Therapist in the Viniyoga tradition of Krishnamacharya, in 2011. For 12 years, Ellen owned and directed The Yoga Sanctuary in Mamaroneck, NY. During this time she developed a unique style of teaching asana that incorporates Vinyasa with therapeutic applications. She believes that asana is meant to serve individual students and not the other way around. Asanas are tools for students to adapt to serve their specific needs. She feels it is her job, as teacher, to help her students understand their needs and then demonstrate how a yoga practice can bring balance and healing to each individual. Ellen currently dedicates much of her time working with special needs and underserved populations. She works with Veterans, Cancer patients, Teens in Foster Care and... Read More →
