200 hour certified yoga teacher, Reiki I practitioner teaching at Absolute Yoga Studio for our Free Yoga for MS program
Hicksville, NY
I'm a single mom of 3 amazing now young adults ,a patient advocate, activist and a volunteer in my community. I'm a yoga student, a 200 hour certified yoga teacher and I specialize in teaching those living with Multiple Sclerosis and any chronic illness or challenge, yoga is for any 'body'. 6 years ago I started and donated a program for my local National MS Society Chapter where those who live on Long Island with MS can have the 'gift' of yoga, this couldn't be done without the collaboration of the 2 generous yoga studios that offer this Seva for our community and with their help, I have coordinated Free Yoga for MS classes. This program runs twice a year for a series of 8 classes each once per week, these classes are free to all who attend, including anyone who brings a support partner or friend. I love to teach yoga to those like myself who live with MS or any challenge to help them find that empowerment within themselves as well as balance between the mind, body and spirit. I have been a team captain for the MS Walk for the past 14 years and yes, I also have been living with MS for the past 21 years and am grateful for all it's taught me and is still teaching me.
